IN YOUR ICE BATH AND
BREATHWORK SESSION

Both Ice bathing and breathwork are integral in the Surf Synergy experience as each offers a list of distinct benefits, while both help to foster the mind-body-spirit connection.  Expand your physical and mental health with these techniques while improving your resilience in and out of the water. 

Both therapies are included in our packages. 

ICE BATH

The whole process is around 30 minutes per person.  Each person goes through a short introduction to learn the necessary techniques to navigate the process.  Then they shower in cool to cold water to begin to acclimate the body to the colder temperatures.  Breathing techniques are employed to move the energy to aid in thermoregulation as well as activate the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the mind while the body enters the cold water and through the duration of the bath.  After the allotted time in the bath, another shower is taken to gradually prepare the body for the warmer pool temperatures where the participant then enters to allow gentle movement to encourage the blood flow back to the extremities.  Then the process is repeated again, if you can!

BREATHWORK

Each session lasts about an hour and a half and is intended to increase your comfort in the water during surfing, but the process is beyond beneficial outside of the water as well.  Our training is geared toward surfing and to help maintain the calm in moments of stress in the water, and they are excellent techniques to apply to the stresses of daily life!  Our breathwork sessions draw from freediving knowledge and ancient yogic practices.  You will feel a sense of accomplishment and a difference in mental clarity and energy by the end of one session.
